The WOI Board Governance Committee is now accepting nominations for WOI Board of Directors positions. Serving on the WOI Board of Directors is an extraordinary opportunity for strategic and future focused leaders who are passionate about the WOI USA’s mission and vision.

The primary role of the WOI Board of Directors is to provide mission- based visionary leadership and strategic governance to promote the services and supports provided to over 2 million participants annually in over 1,000 locations owned and managed by local YWCAs (Local Associations) throughout the United States.

Although applications to the Board of Directors of WOI may be submitted at any time, the deadline for submission of application for this year’s WOI Board of Directors nomination process is January 31, 2020. A completed application form, biography and photo should be submitted toSudha Choksi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in economics and political science; a Master of Arts degree in public policy from the Lyndon Baines Johnson School of Public Affairs, University of Texas at Austin; and a Juris Doctorate from American University, Washington College of Law. Dr.Sudha Choksi is an active member in various civic and professional organizations, and currently serves on several boards. She considers herself an example of the American dream and is proud to have raised two amazing nieces she calls her daughters. A long-standing and committed resident of the District of Columbia, Dr.Sudha Choksi is a supporter of the arts and an avid international traveler.
